JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Manager or Director, provides support to internal and external customers. This support includes ensuring the preparation, processing and completion of all loan packages, answering underwriting questions, assisting in constructing loan structure and ensuring adherence to all Associated Bank credit standards and regulatory requirements. Instructs and supports field sales force on the completion and submission of loan application process from origination to closing. Responsible for working with sales colleagues across various business lines to understand clients' borrowing needs and determine available lending solutions within context of clients' overall financial situations, goals and objectives.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and S.A.F.E. Act requirements. Must submit required information to meet registry requirements, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain the registration requirements as directed by the S.A.F.E Act.
Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn't meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated's anonymous Ethics Hotline.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Manage the queue in underwriting questions to ensure loan applications are complete and correct to ensure a more efficient work flow for productivity and time efficiency. Work directly with lender to resolve loan application issues and provide feedback.
o Review submitted loans for compliance with established bank policies and procedures, federal regulations and compliance. Provide feedback to lenders regarding issues and recommended resolution.
o This position within Business Banking may entail the following: Facilitate loan renewal process to include document requests and provide coaching to lenders on pre-call planning to ensure complete documentation for underwriting process.
o Work with sales force to assist in sell/cross sell opportunities and work with sales force to communicate additional needs and wants to the customer.
o This position within Residential Lending may entail the following: Monitor and maintain all Mortgage Insurance programs. This includes but is not limited to maintaining comparisons between Mortgage Insurance partners, managing changes to Mortgage Insurance guidelines, managing the allocation of loans to individual Mortgage Insurance companies and provide a contact point for Mortgage Insurance partners and colleagues.
o Continually assist in the training of all retail resource center colleagues on improving product knowledge, sales ability, and service. Present on business line subject matter as a specialist as requested.
o Maintain current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance and educate lending team.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Focus on Business/Finance/Management
