As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating department by assisting in the preparation and analysis of project cost estimates.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements and identify potential cost implications.
Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare quantity summaries for various project components.
Collaborate with the estimating team to identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Source and maintain a database of current material and labor prices to ensure accurate cost estimation.
Support the estimation team in analyzing bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist in the preparation of cost breakdowns, cost comparisons, and cost forecasts.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
Proficiency in using estimating software and tools (e.
g.
, Bluebeam, Procore, RSMeans) is desirable.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of construction industry standards, materials, and processes is a plus.
