Architecture Intern

This position is responsible for providing architectural support to the construction and facility management departments.
Schedule:
16-20 hours per week during school year.
40 hours per week during summer months and winter break.
Essential Duties And
Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Maintain construction drawings for multiple properties.
Develop inventory of apartment sizes and amenities.
Develop various architectural drawings using CAD software.
Draft scope of work for subcontractor.
Review and refine scope prepared by others for accuracy.
Travel (when required) to various locations throughout the Milwaukee region.
Attend meetings with management/subcontractors as needed.
Perform special projects as requested by various team members.
Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Adhere to the philosophy, policies and procedures as established by Wimmer Communities.
Attend and participate in departmental meetings, in-services, training, and community events as required.
All other additional duties and task as assigned by the Director of Facility Management.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in an architecture degree program.
Ability to read and understand, written or verbal instructions in English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals accurately.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer competency to include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and PlanSwift.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
