Receiving Supervisor


Summary:
Distributes workload to personnel within the department maintaining constructive relationships, discipline, fairness, and accepting challenges with the highest degree of flexibility.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Supervise and assist in all receiving activities.
Train new employees on procedures and techniques.
Promote a safe work environment.
Communicate information concerning production order picking to the production department.
(Hot materials) Plan, organize, and delegate the responsibilities for the successful operation of all the receiving operations.
Direct the daily activities of receiving team members, including the assignment of duties to employees, and assisting in scheduling break periods, work hours, and vacations.
Maintain the receiving organization and upkeep as defined by management.
Maintain receiving supply inventories, organization, and cleanliness.
Provide regular and timely feedback that recognizes performance, motivates employees, and promotes self-development.
Coordinate all activities with related departments and business partners.
Work closely with the Shipping and Yard supervisors.
Perform inventory transfers/ supervise return to stock from production orders.
As requested, assist in documenting incident damage reports for review with management Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices.
Qualifications:
SAP experience Must be detail orientated and organized.
Self-Motivated - Works independently and well with others Must be able to work overtime (as needed) Ability to multi-task and respond to various tasks as they are assigned.
Problem solver/Decision maker Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint) Education/Certification/Training:
High school diploma, G.
E.
D or trade school equivalent Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy construction equipment service, support, or an equivalent work experience, which includes supervisory or management experience.
Mandatory safety training (see Total Compliance Management program) Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the product service and maintenance function (service and parts manuals, technical bulletins, and other related articles).
Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Supervises receiving personnel which includes recruitment, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
Plans, assigns, and directs work and recommends any additions to staff where necessary.
Trains, mentors and develops department personnel in all facets of their jobs.
Conducts performance appraisals.
Rewards and disciplines employees.
Addresses employee complaints and solves problems.
Assigns and delegates projects to department personnel.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office or shop environment; occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.
Safety glasses/goggles must be always worn while in the shop or yard.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
